Witness
Matthew 24:14 “ And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come
A witness is often defined as a person who sees an event. To witness also means to agree with, but the biblical definition includes the idea of something evidential. As believers, we are all called to be a witness to who God is to a world that has lost it’s hope that they may find it.
As believers we are called to be witnesses to the Most High God. First, we must witness to who He is. The world has lost its connection and its view of the Creator. We who know him must testify of Him that the world may have a clearer view of His person and His standard. Secondly, we must witness to our experience with God. The best stories to tell is our own. No one can tell your personal story quite like you. Finally, we must be a witness to our fellow man. The world has an abstract view of who God is. When we share our personal testimonies with our fellowman we invite them to taste and see that the Lord is good.
